Co founder, Selina Jayne, has a wide variety of transferable skills and experience that she brings to Nurture in Nature. A mother of 4 daughters, an award winner in innovation through sports, (for her Mental health and wellbeing program, designed for professional athletes), a children’s wellbeing book author and philanthropist.
Spanning over 12 years Selina has organised and assisted with hundreds of charity events, causes and projects. Selina is a qualified Master Executive Coach, Personal performance coach and mentor, Mindset coach, Teaching with Accelerated learning and has a Bachelor of Laws with Honours. As a recognised leader in the football industry, through the 'Woman in Football' organisation, Selina has aided and assisted with many football projects and causes from grass roots to professional. She is a board member at AFC Liverpool, advisory board member for Kind mentors, (a project she helped create), Advisory member of the inclusion advisory group for the Liverpool County Football Association (LCFA) and has held positions on other boards within the industry.
Ex member of the Royal Navy with 5 years experience within the legal sector.
Through many different life experiences, Selina has seen the effects a poor mental health & wellbeing can have on young people and adults.
Her knowledge and experience of the lack of support , funding and services in this area and the effects this has on young people and their families, drove her to extensive research over a period of 6 years to help find a solution.
Being an avid outdoor person she is aware of the natural health benefits nature can give too.
Selina believes, that by helping children as young as possible, to develop the skills necessary to help them navigate and manage the stresses and strains of their external world and internal world, maintaining their own mental and physical wellbeing, is an essential part to finding a solution. to this world wide issue.
By using the natural benefits of nature and the impact it has on our mental health and wellbeing, teaching the skills and techniques to self management of wellbeing and coping mechanisms from an early age, with ongoing exposure and support, Selina believes that they will grow to be more balanced and rounded individuals.
Co- Founder Lisa has worked within health & social care & education for the last 25 years.
During this time working with groups from disadvantage backgrounds and those marginalised through health issues.
Lisa has gained during this time many qualifications to aid others to live a life they choose.
Lisa has taught within Sen educational sector, lectured at universities on mental health, well-being , diversity, young people and issues facing today's young adults.
Lisa has developed and delivered projects that have assisted young people to reduce drug , alcohol, medication and offending behaviour.
Lisa has set up volunteer programs and apprenticeships for veterans returning from active service who developed mental health issues.
Enabling veterans to gain new skills and qualifications, and employment
Lisa has developed her career and holistic practice enabling her to train others within these areas.
Lisa is a trained yoga teacher, train the trainer, holistic therapist , homeopath, holds qualifications in nutrition alongside her qualifications in BA criminal justice,
Level 4 health &social care , mental health, asylum , children & behavioural , management, mad ' bad " misunderstood , paradigm therapy ,
Lisa has a vast experience within the health ,education, social care sectors ranging from children's homes, family projects, action for children projects through FIP work, disability services, children and adults services, veterans services, probation, prisons, secure units for young offenders , through to independent living for leaving care' independent living adults with disabilities and mental health issues,
Lisa has over her 25 year career developed many skills that she brings to Nurture in Nature and fully understands and witnessed the impact that poor mental health and wellbeing has in society.
Paul is the owner and Director of Re-Source Waste management, a highly successful and reputable national specialist waste management company.
Paul has managed and grown many successful multi-million pound companies. and brings with his his business knowledge and ability to upscale.
Helene graduated from Law school with a LLB (Hons)and went on to graduate with a BSc (Hons) in psychology and a Diploma in Counselling Psychotherapy.
After almost fifteen years working in the legal sector, as a lawyer who helped refugees and vulnerable migrants, Helene also a registered and practised as a psychotherapist and intuitive coach.
Helene worked holistically with the people she supported through the legal process and saw the whole person, and wanted to hear the whole story.
Through her personal practice, Helene learned to listen with an open heart and held a solid and loving space for some of the most unimaginable tales. Walking people through this arduous process with humanness was one of the greatest privileges of her life.
Helene also works as a project coordinator for the British red cross and has also given her time as a refugee resettlement officer.
Helene organises a variety of events and projects to help those effected by political and nature disasters taking refuge and those who are part of a resettlement program.
Helene has first hand witnessed the effects that children and adults who are exposed to extreme external factors ,beyond their control, can have on a persons mental health and wellbeing and recognises the benefits a wellbeing program could have if reached as early as possible, in early years development as a pro active measure to prevent, and assist to cure.
Helene's extensive knowledge and experience is a great asset to Nurture in Nature.
Venessa has a masters degree in Primary education and has been teaching for over 6 years, with extensive knowledge of the education system for early years and up. Ness is qualified in SEN with first hand. experience.
Ness also has a masters degree in musical composition and brings these skills to assist us in musical therapy.
Ness is no stranger to being front of house managing. a class room of children but her audience has extended out to the crows of Glastonbury and that of the Philharmonic Orchestra.
Ness helps Nurture in Nature to become an inclusive, balanced tool that can help schools find equilibrium, helping teachers and schools in meeting their core needs, at the same time giving children the tools, skills and knowledge in order to fulfil their wellbeing needs.
Having a passion for teaching music and promoting it to improve mental health of young people and children. This project is of particular interest to Ness as it encourages us to use the outdoors to improve wellbeing and allows us to be more creative with our learning this inspires us to break boundaries with our imaginations.
Laure is the founder and creative director of Nurture to Bloom , Working with children and families for over 9 years supporting them to a more positive and healthy wellbeing.

Laura Currently volunteers, counselling adults with Age UK and children with Place 2 Be children's charity. Mentoring young people and delivering mindfulness sessions, as well as taking an active role for Nurture in Nature Org UK 'Wellbeing together 'community projects.
